Get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure through one of nature’s hidden treasures! Join Tour Guide Cafe on a scenic valley drive into the heart of the National Park, where the legendary Crystal Caves await. Whether you ride with our friendly guides or cruise in the comfort of your own vehicle, you’ll enjoy a fully curated experience from start to finish.
Your journey includes a meal and refreshing beverage, access to the park, rich storytelling of the valley’s history, and a breathtaking half-mile walk down to the cave's entrance. Then, prepare to step into another world on a captivating, ranger-led tour through the cool, dimly lit passageways of Crystal Caves.
The adventure wraps up with a rewarding uphill walk back, taking in the sights one last time before heading home to Fresno. This six-hour experience is at $250 per person from the moment we leave towards the cave to the time of return.
Be sure to wear comfy walking or hiking shoes—this tour involves about an hour of gentle walking through narrow spots, but no crawling or kneeling required.

Crystal Cave is a stunning marble cavern, but visiting requires preparation. The tour includes a half-mile round-trip hike with steep terrain and stairs, and the cave environment is cold, damp, and dark (around 50°F).
Gas up if you are following Tour Guide Cafe. There is no gas inside the parks.
Hydrate. Water will be provided. Be sure to stay hydrated and bring drinking water, as there is no water available at the cave.
Shoes that are non-slip. The trail to the cave, and especially the cave itself, can be slippery. Good shoes are recommended.
Bring snacks. Visiting Crystal Cave can be a commitment of several hours. Food is not allowed in the cave itself. However, in the parking lot, there are picnic tables to enjoy your food before your tour and bear boxes to store your food items while on your tour.
No pets are allowed in unattended vehicles, outside, on the trail, or in the cave.
Dress in layers. Summer in the park can be pretty hot. However, the cave is 50˚F (10˚C) inside, so a jacket is recommended.
Bring a flashlight if you’d like, or Tour Guide Cafe will provide one.
Apply sunscreen if you’d like. There is a half-mile hike to and from the cave
Take the flash off your cameras when taking pictures inside the cave.
No strollers are allowed on the hike nor inside the cave.
